A Região Administrativa Especial de Macau (RAEM) assumiu a gestão do ponto de passagem da fronteira na ilha artificial da ponte de Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau por uma decisão do Conselho de Estado da China em 15 de março, disse o porta-voz do governo do território .

O evento aconteceu no prédio da fronteira de Macau, após o qual funcionários do Serviço de Alfândega, Polícia de Segurança Pública, Serviço de Combate a Incêndio, Polícia Criminal, bem como os Serviços de Saúde e o Departamento de Serviços de Tráfego foram colocados na área.

A ponte de Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau, localizada na mesma área marítima da Ilha Lingding, no estuário do Rio das Pérolas, é um importante ponto de acesso ao mar que liga as duas regiões administrativas especiais e a cidade de Zhuhai, na província de Guangdong .

O comunicado disse que a construção desta ponte é uma resposta aos pedidos de transporte terrestre e de passageiros entre os três territórios, em particular a conexão entre as margens oeste e leste do Rio das Pérolas.

O tabuleiro principal da ponte começa na ilha artificial ao lado de Gongbei, em Zhuhai a oeste, e levará ao túnel submarino entre Guangdong e Hong Kong, que, por sua vez, termina em uma ilha artificial mais a leste, composta por 29,6 Km de estrada de dois sentidos, com três vias. (fonte: macauhub)

The Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) has taken on the management of the border crossing point on the artificial island of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge by a decision of the China State Council on 15 March, said the spokesman for the territory’s government.

The event took place in the Macau border post building, after which officials from the Customs Service, the Public Security Police, the Firefighting Service, the Criminal Police, as well as the Health Services and the Traffic Services Bureau were stationed in the area.

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge, located in the same maritime area of Lingding Island, in the Pearl River estuary, is a major access point over the sea linking the two special administrative regions and the city of Zhuhai, in the province of Guangdong.

The statement said that the construction of this bridge is a response to requests for land and passenger transport between the three territories, in particular the connection between the west and east banks of the Pearl River.

The main deck of the bridge begins on the artificial island next to Gongbei, in Zhuhai to the west, and will lead to the undersea tunnel between Guangdong and Hong Kong, which, in turn, ends on an artificial island further east, consisting of 29.6 kilometre two-way, three-lane access road.
